Open-air massage pavilions at the Oberoi Spa in Bali make for a truly memorable and relaxing experience. The pavilions overlook a pond abloom with golden carp, water lilies and tropical plants.

Among the massages, you may choose from: Oberoi (stimulates blood circulation), stress relieving, Thai, ayurvedic, aromatic, Balinese, Hawaiian, Indian head massage and sole therapy.

The Oberoi Spa by Banyan Tree offers some body scrubs: natural, herbal, salt and coconut.

There are 3 different body wraps: natural mud, sunburn soother, traditional herbal body wrap.

Among beauty treatments: European cleansing facial, sun-kissed facial, oberoi facial, cucumber cleansing facial.

Mandi Lulur is a traditional Javanese treatment. Javanese women use to indulge in this treatment every day during the week preceding their wedding day. This luxurious bath ritual starts with a 60 minutes Balinese massage. Next, a specially blended herbal scrub is applied to exfoliate and soften the skin before finishing with a refreshing yogurt rub- down. To complete the experience, soak in a floral bath of exotic tropical flowers and body lotion is applied after the shower.

Luxury Spa programmes range from 120 minutes to 180 minutes comprise of various treatment compositions to suit your individual preference. They can be booked for a single person or for a couple. Exotic Indulgence includes Body Cleanser 30 minutes, Body Massage 60 minutes, Body Wrap 60 minutes, Floral Bath.

Island Aromatic includes Body Cleanser 30 minutes, Body Massage 90 minutes, Floral Bath.

Island Sampler includes Body Massage 60 minutes, Facial 60 minutes.

The Bali Barat National Park, in North West Bali is really worth the detour. Animals include black monkeys, leaf monkeys and macaques; and Java, barking, sambar and mouse deer. There are also squirrels, wild pigs, buffalos, iguanas and pythons. The bird life is prolific, with many of Bali's 200 species represented, including the striking Bali starling.
